SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Schaumburg Boomers manager Jamie Bennett added another milestone to his decorated career on Wednesday, June 24, becoming the first manager in franchise history to reach 700 career victories with the organization.
Bennett, who has managed the Boomers since the club's inaugural 2012 season, has guided Schaumburg to unprecedented success over the past 15 seasons. Under his leadership, the Boomers have become one of the Frontier League's premier franchises, capturing four Frontier League championships (2013, 2014, 2017 and 2021) while making numerous postseason appearances.
The 700th victory adds to an already remarkable managerial résumé that has included multiple division titles, league championships and a reputation for developing players both on and off the field. Bennett has overseen hundreds of players during his tenure, helping many continue their professional careers while establishing a winning culture in Schaumburg.
Since taking over the Boomers in their inaugural season, Bennett has led the franchise through its most successful era. His teams have consistently been among the Frontier League's top contenders, most recently highlighted by a run to the 2025 Frontier League Championship Series, where the Boomers finished as league runners-up after posting a 58-38 regular-season record.
Bennett's longevity and sustained success have made him synonymous with Boomers baseball. His 700 victories represent not only years of consistency but also the dedication of the players, coaches, front office staff and fans who have been part of the organization's growth since 2012.
